DigitalBlast and Kazo City Launch the “Kazo Space Rice Project”

~A New Initiative Connecting the Community and Space~

DigitalBlast Inc. (Headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo; CEO: Shingo Horiguchi), a company supporting the development of small life science experiment devices, revitalizing the space industry, and creating new businesses, is pleased to announce the launch of the “Kazo Space Rice Project” in collaboration with Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture (Mayor: Moriyoshi Tsunoda).

As a company dedicated to advancing projects that integrate local communities with space, DigitalBlast is embarking on its first initiative with Kazo City through this project.

Located in the northeastern part of Saitama Prefecture, Kazo City is a nature-rich area where the Tone River flows, and its fertile land supports thriving agriculture. The city boasts the highest rice production in the prefecture.

CEO Horiguchi, a native of Kazo City, proposed this project to the city, driven by his desire to contribute to regional revitalization through space utilization. This led to the official launch of the initiative.

The project will establish the Kazo City Future Center as a hub, offering innovative educational programs that merge agriculture with space exploration. Through this initiative, the project aims to connect Kazo City’s traditional farming practices with cutting-edge space technology, presenting new opportunities for the next generation.

Furthermore, the project will promote Kazo City’s unique identity domestically and internationally through the production of branded rice, striving to create global value for the region.

DigitalBlast remains committed to leveraging its expertise in the space industry to contribute to the development of local communities.
