Participating in the “Japan-UAE Space Sector Joint Workshop” as a Space Startup

DigitalBlast participated as one of the Japanese space startups in the “Japan-UAE Space Sector Joint Workshop” held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on December 12, 2024.

The “Japan-UAE Space Sector Joint Workshop” is a workshop event co-hosted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Cabinet Office, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the UAE Space Agency. The event aims to promote cooperation between Japan and the UAE in the space sector.

Approximately 200 participants, including government and space agency representatives from Japan and the UAE, as well as stakeholders from space startups and major corporations engaged in space business, attended the workshop and engaged in active discussions.

At this workshop, we introduced our ongoing development of a life science experiment device and presented our vision for the future economic zone in low Earth orbit (LEO). Additionally, we proposed a collaboration plan with the UAE for the “post-ISS” era following the retirement of the International Space Station (ISS).

DigitalBlast will continue its research and development efforts with the goal of “creating value in space.”
